This week is letter Pp. We will be reading a fictional story about how to make pancakes from cutting the wheat, to grinding the wheat, milking the cow, to churning the butter, to getting the eggs from the hen, to finally eating the pancakes. The student's will be making pancakes on Friday morning.
Math will focus on geometric solids. The children will be learning about a sphere, a cube, rectangular prism and a cone. They will be learning about the number of flat surfaces, the number of vertices, (corner) and the shape it makes when pressed into play dough.
The children will continue to review identifying and building numbers 0-20, counting to 100 by1's and 10's.
In Science we will be focusing on the sky, clouds, the sun and moon. If you have time look out at the night sky and help your child watch the changes of the moon over the next month.
