                                                         Week    Of   September  24

Early Out---- Thursday,  Sept.  27.  The children will be dismissed at noon. Parents can order a sack lunch for their child to take home with them.

Math goals:  We  will continue to work on  number sense with numbers through ten.  We will continue to build on learning to write the numbers 0-10 also.  This may seen repetitious but without understanding the connection between the written number and it's value the rest of the year will be difficult for many children.  Our number system is build on base 10.

Games---   Count out 10 Cheerios.  Put some in one hand, the rest in the other.  Show your child only one hand and have them determine how many Cheerios are in the other hand.

Have your child write the numbers 0-10.  Next using pennies, Cheerios, or any item,  count out items to match each number.  They should see a growing pattern.

Reading goals--We will focus on the sound of letter Rr.  The sight words for this  week are  red and blue and continue to review  like,  am,  can,  is.

Show and Tell  will be items with the letter Rr.
