Text Talk

This week we will be reading the book Possum's Harvest Moon. In the story possum invites the animals to a Harvest Moon party, but the animals are to busy getting ready for winter. The focus of the book is to understand that animals have to prepare for winter just as they do in real life. The make-believe part is how they are convinced to put their chores aside to come to a party.

Over the next two weeks the children will be learning the words
autumn, creature,
harvest, snug,
accomplished and conclude.
The children are encouraged to use these words throughout the day. We tally mark every time someone uses these words at home or at school. They will NOT learn to spell these words.
