Math--  This past week the children were learning the meaning of capacity, weight, length, temperature.  This next week we will be introducing the concept of addition as joining to numbers.  The children will be learning ways to make numbers 3-10.   3 is  2 and 1,  3 is  0 and 3,  3 is 1 and 2.

Social Studies will focus on the concept of what a neighborhood is.  A neighborhood is part of the city,  the city is part of the state, and the state is part of North America, and North America is partof the world. 

Read-a-thon--Every day is exciting as be see how many bananas are on our banana tree.  We were in the lead the first two days of the Read-a-thon.  Please keep reading with your child.  Reading to them and having them read their take home readers with you will improve their success in the classroom.
