This week the children will be learning to add to numbers to make numbers up to 20.
Tuesday we will be learning ways to make 13 and 14.
Wednesday we will be learning ways to make 15 and 16.
Thursday we will be learning ways to make 17 and 18.
Friday we will be learning ways to make 19 and 20.
Give your child a handful of coins. Ask them to identify the coins
then make adding problems. I have 10 pennies and 4 dimes, that makes 14.
Spelling
Through music the children are learning to spell the words said, they, could, would, should.
They are also learning the word of.
Ask your child to use a magazine or newspaper and highlight these words.
Book a Night
Your child will be bringing home two books on Tuesday, along with their library books. Please
have your child read the two new books found in the ziplock bag to you each night. These books are at or close to your child's reading level.
We hope this will help to improve the students reading ability.
Early Out
The children will be released at noon on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
You must return the lunch slip if you want your child to receive a sack lunch those three days.
