On Monday the students will be counting nickels and pennies.
I encourage the students to start with the greatest valued coin
and count on.
5, 10, 15, 16, 17 18 cents.
Tuesday, the class moves right into counting dimes and pennies.
Again start with the dimes and count on the pennies.
Wednesday they will be counting dimes and nickels.
This is hard for the students to switch counting by
10's to counting by 5's.
Friday they will be counting combinations of
all three coins.
