The children will continue learning
about geometric solids,(cone, cube, sphere, cylinder,rectanglar prism)
plain shapes (triangle, square, rectangle,circle).
Later in the week we will start to learn about symmetry. Symmetry is the introduction to fractions. The children will need to know about whole, one half, and one fourth.
While learning all this the class will continue to practice adding and subtracting numbers to 12.
Question for the week. Ask your child what = means.
I hope they will understand that = means what is on the
left side of a equation is the same amount as on the right.
= doesn't mean to solve the problem.
This is a skill that will have a grade on the upcoming report card.
