From now until Christmas break the students will be learning about geometric solids and plain shapes. They will be learning to identify a cylinder, cube, cone, sphere, rectangular prism, triangle, square, circle, and triangle. For the report card they will need to identify these and tell their features. The features are the number of flat surfaces, the number of vertices (corners)and number of sides.
To help at home, your child could make a list of these shapes that they find at home.
